Economic Impact Report 2017: Rutgers Grows the Garden State

A study by the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy shows that Rutgers—the state’s third-largest nongovernmental employer—is a job creator and economic engine, supporting 58,000 jobs and generating $5.2 billion in annual economic activity for the state. For every $1 the state invests in Rutgers, the university returns almost $7 to the New Jersey economy.
